The Beijing Aerospace Control Center (BACC) recently sent a letter of thanks to RADI, expressing its appreciation for the hard work and important contribution of RADI researchers to the Chang’e-3 Mission, which was successful in deploying its Rover Yutu (Jade Rabbit) on the Moon on December 15, 2013.

The planetary remote sensing team  from the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science at RADI has conducted research into planetary mapping and remote sensing for many years. During the Chang’e-3 mission, RADI researchers provided technological support to BACC with their expertise in remote sensing mapping and navigation positioning.
