RADI successfully conducted series remote sensing aircraft experiments since May 2013. In the experiments lasted for nearly 6 months, a total of over 50 flights have been carried out to verify the performance and the design index of its airborne remote sensing radar system.
The flight experiments were conducted to test the indigenous-developed X-waveband high-resolution radar system, the high-performance X-SAR system , the civil multi-band radar system, and the performance of multi-polarized radar, which is part of the “airborne remote sensing system”, a CAS big science facility under construction.
