Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to attend the 3rd International Symposium on Earth Observation for Arid and Semi-Arid Environments (ISEO-2016), which will be held on 19-21 September 2016 in Dushanbe – the capital city of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The purpose of the Symposium is to further exchange experiences on the use of Earth Observation technologies among the Central Asian and neighboring countries.

During the Symposium oral presentations of scientists and students as well as poster presentations are expected. Also, round tables will be organized in order to discuss the main problems of Earth observation and the use of Remote Sensing technologies in the economic growth of the Central Asian countries.

Topics of the Symposium:

The symposium will mainly include the following topics:

1. Earth Observation: Theory and Technology
2. Digital Earth: Theory and Applications
3. Earth Observation for Eco-environment and Urbanization
4. Earth Observation for Heritage
5. Earth Observation for Disaster Mitigation
6. Earth Observation and Climate Change
7. Earth Observation for Mineral, Energy and Water Resources

Abstract submission:

Interested contributors should submit an abstract and full paper they propose for presentation. The symposium proceedings for ISEO 2016 will be available at the symposium.

• All submissions should be in English;

• Abstracts should be submitted to the symposium no later than 30 April 2016;

• Notification of paper acceptance will be made by 20 May 2016;

• Each presenting author will be required to register and pay before 20 July 2016;

• Please submit abstracts through the Abstract Submission link at www.iseoca.org;

• All abstract must be submitted online or sent to E-mail: iseo2016@ingeos.tj

Important Dates:

• Abstract Submission Deadline: 30 April 2016

• Acceptance Notification for Abstracts and Sessions: 20 May 2016

• Early Registration Deadline: 20 June 2016

• Author Registration Deadline: 20 July 2016

• Standard Registration Deadline: 20 August 2016

• On-site Registration: 18 September 2016

• Convening of ISEO 2016: 19-21 September 2016

• Post-Conference Excursion:  22 September 2016

The languages of the Symposium:

Oral and poster presentations as well as round tables will be held in English and Russian languages.

Registration fees:

All participants, including speakers, are required to register for the symposium. The registration fee covers name badge, conference documentation, admission to all sessions, opening and closing ceremony, one official reception, and coffee/tea services during the meeting. We encourage payment of all fees for the symposium online. International Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard) and Chinese Bank Card are acceptable for online registration. Registration fee for early registration is 250 USD; for standard registration – 300 USD; on-site registration – 320 USD; student/accompanying registration – 100 USD. On-site registration fee can be paid in Tajik somoni according to the exchange rate of the USD to somoni on the day of registration.
