The International Symposium on Earth Observation for One Belt and One Road (EOBAR) will be held in Beijing on 16-17 May 2016, with the theme of “quicker, better, broader understanding of the China-proposed Belt & Road”. Co-sponsored by the Division of Earth Sciences under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), together with related ministries, commissions, and international organizations, EOBAR cordially invites you to the symposium.

The space-based Earth observation technology, with its synoptic view and rapid, accurate, objective data acquisition, is an effective means for environmental monitoring, and it can provide OBOR-related countries with important tools to conduct dynamic regional analyses of the ecological environment and development potential of these countries. Therefore, it will boost cooperation and sustainable development in the region.

Major topics to be covered at the Symposium are:

Registration fee is 260 USD per person for early registration (before March 30, 2016) and 300 USD per person for on-site registration.

Registration opens on August 20, 2015, and the deadline is on March 30, 2016.

Abstract submission deadline: 31 January 2016.

Notice on abstract acceptance: 15 February 2016.

Full paper submission should be no later than April 15, 2016.
