The Deqing Institute for Satellite Applications is designed to promote the industry of China’s satellite application. The institute, located at the Moganshan High-tech Industrial Development zone, Deqing County of east China’s Zhejiang Province, is co-built by RADI and Deqing local government as an effort of academy-industry collaboration.
At a council meeting held on September 4 for the institute, RADI researchers and the local governmental officials gathered to discuss how to explore the new model of aerospace industry, which features integrating R&D in Beijing, production in Deqing, and the products go- global strategy.
At the meeting, Prof. GU Xingfa, Executive Deputy Director of RADI, said that RADI will work with the local government to develop the institute into an innovation industry platform that links China's satellite application technology and its industrial development.
