RADI Releases Pre-earthquake Satellite Data on Latest Jiuzhaigou Earthquake

At 21:19 on August 8, 2017, Jiuzhaigou County in southwest China’s Sichuan Province was struck by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake, with a depth of the source depth of 20 km.

That night, RADI initiated its disaster emergency response plan for the earthquake, involving acquiring pre-earthquake historical data on the region, getting latest disaster data, and related data programming.

At noon on August 9, just 15 hours after the earthquake, RADI has completed the first batch of historical data processing and production from SPOT-6, and LANDSAT-8 on the earthquake region, which is accessible online : ftp://ftp.radi.ac.cn User: radi_jiuzhaigouPSD: radi_jiuzhaigou
