China’s Innovative Remote Sensing Industry Alliance was launched on March 16, 2018 at RADI, marking RADI’s efforts to turn its remote sensing technology into smart applications.

The alliance was established to explore technology potential in helping China’s regional development strategy-making. Boosting local development through remote sensing technology will be the priority of the alliance.

The alliance will absorb members from China’s space industry, government agencies in the fields of geographic information technology, agriculture, environment protection, and water conservancy, and remote sensing enterprises. The alliance aims to integrate domestic remote sensing satellite resources, therefore to push smarter industry application.

At the launching ceremony, Prof. GU Xingfa, Executive Director of RADI pointed out that our country’s booming economy has brought great opportunities for remote sensing industry. Then, serving local development through smart remote sensing application is an urging demand for our scientists and the vision of the alliance.
