A Romanian delegation from the Politehnica University of Timișoar including Prof. IoanSorinHerban, Prof. Daniel ViorelUngureanu, and Prof. RaresHalbacCotoaraZamfir paid a one-week visit to RADI from August 16, 2017. The visit is a part of China-Romania cooperation project on “urban green space evaluation based on multi-source remote sensing data and modelling”, which is led in Chinese side by Prof. MENG Qingyan and his research team from RADI.
One week’s visit and academic exchanges have resulted in in-depth understanding of each other in terms of research facilities, research fields, projects and cooperation mechanism. The visit also fostered the potential of expanding cooperation in this field.
The Romanian team called for enhanced cooperate with Prof. Meng’s team under the framework of Horizon-2020. The both sides agreed to conduct cooperation through various forms such as joint program applications, remote sensing data sharing, talent and personnel exchanges and training.
Politehnica University of Timișoara is a public university founded on 11 November 1920. Located in Timișoara, Romania, it is one of the largest technical universities in Central and Eastern Europe.
