Prof. Salamat Alamanov, chief of hydrology and climatology laboratory with the Institute of Geology under the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Prof. Muktar Choguldurov, Vice President of Bishkek Humanities University, paid a visit to RADI on October 28.
The two sides held in-depth discussion on such scientific issues like land use, soil erosion, glacier and lake changes in the arid and semi-arid Central Asian regions. The two sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation on applying remote sensing technology in the resource-environmental field. They also explored the possibility of strengthening the exchange of young scientists and carrying out substantive cooperative projects. By taking advantage of spaceborne-airborne--ground Earth observation technology, both sides can collaborate to conduct the ecological environment monitoring in Central Asia.
